ARPA Sponsor a Dancer
Over the past few years, Albany Berkshire Ballet has been deeply grateful for the support provided by the City of Pittsfield through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). That funding helped us keep our doors open, our programs accessible, and most importantly allowed over 35 local students to continue their dance training, regardless of financial hardship.
Now, as the city’s ARPA funds have ended, we face a new and urgent challenge.
Without renewed support, many of our underprivileged students and households are at risk of losing access to the high-quality dance education they’ve come to rely on for structure, confidence, creativity, and belonging. The program serves as an intervention to improve health and well-being, especially for children from low-income households.
We are reaching out to ask for your help.
Your donation will go directly toward:

-
Tuition assistance for more than 35 young dancers in Pittsfield
-
Dancewear and shoes for families who cannot afford them
-
Continuing our outreach and instruction in an inclusive, nurturing environment
Ballet is more than movement. It’s discipline, expression, and empowerment. For many of our students, it’s also a lifeline — a place where they are seen, supported, and encouraged to dream.
Your support can keep that dream alive.

✅ A gift of $100 covers one month of classes for a student
✅ $250 helps outfit a dancer with shoes and attire for the season
✅ $1,000 sponsors a child’s training for a year

As public funding winds down, your role as a private supporter becomes more vital than ever. We hope you’ll join us in ensuring that dance remains accessible to every child who walks through our doors.
With heartfelt thanks,
Madeline Cantarella Culpo
